i think he switched back because 1.- he wanted to or 2. he wasn't convinced Billy and Mickey quite "got it" - bobby was "with it" during the first two verses after a few moments, just didn't seem like the drummers had a clue.
or, he just might have intended that all along - it was a seemless reintroduction to the "normal" rythym. i think it is a great innovative version with no flubs - i was damn impressed to be honest - especailly for '95 - rare for jerry to get overly creative in 95 -

a tentative-daze betweenish intro and phrasing, the crowd seemed quite into it, no flubs that i hear, unless it's the band slowly getting into jerry interpetation. We have a winner! I feel the pathos in the song (as a Wharf Rat should have)it's like tasting great wine, hard to discribe but yummy. Oooops...now I have to DL the next track can't end up on the bridge! Darn! and just when i was thinkin '95 had little to offer. (am i complaining??-lol)

totally agree - and you are right, the crowd was into it with jerry's new interpretation - i caught the same vibe.
it is a winner!! - i liked it alot - loved what jer tried to do with it and i think it worked (albeit the drummers not being with him overly much - bobby was with him though - kudos to bob for figuring it out really fast)
